The role of LMS during ZELD-e is the coordination of the overall activity, both in 2021 and 2022 as well as to contribute to the design and development of the overall system’s architecture. Beyond that, its main technical role in 2021 is the development of the Quality Assessment Modules, including the design of the required experiments and training of the machine learning models, while in 2022 the LMS role is to contribute to the development of the laser welding control pipeline providing technical expertise regarding the laser welding control and conduction of the experiments. At a dissemination level, LMS is responsible for exploiting the outcomes of the activity mainly on academic and educational cycles both in 2021 and 2022. Finally, LMS will benefit from extending the expertise and know-how on quality assessment and process control aspects as well as from exploiting as an IP the QA aspect of the systems (algorithms) during the activity’s lifespan (2021 to 2022).
